Neighborhood Traffic Study: Expanded Perimeter

Neighborhood Traffic Study: Expanded Perimeter

After attending several community meetings and speaking with various residents, Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson and I introduced Los Angeles City Council File 18-0149 calling for the City’s Department of Transportation to conduct an impartial “Neighborhood Traffic Study” to determine the potential traffic impacts associated with the mall redevelopment project and its surroundings. The initial traffic study borders included La Brea Avenue to the west, Vernon Avenue to the south, Arlington Avenue to the east and 39th Street to the north. After further feedback from the community, we decided to expand the boundaries from Vernon Avenue to Slauson Avenue, and the northernmost boundary from 39th Street to Jefferson Boulevard.
