16 Jun New Website Gives Constituents Better Access to City Council President, Government
LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles City Council President Herb Wesson today launched his new website aimed at better connecting Angelenos with their government. The new site streamlines communication between the City Council President and his constituents, giving the public easy access to important issues facing the City Council. Citizens can now find newsletters, press releases, and other archived news about Wesson and the City Council on the website. The site also directly links to Wesson’s social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
The site also provides residents with information about local services in Council District 10 such as recreation centers, libraries, police and fire departments, and community events put on by Wesson himself.
To promote civic engagement, a new feature allows citizens to directly find and get involved with their local Neighborhood Council. Citizens can also write to the Council President using the “Contact” tab on the site.
“This website makes it easier than ever for members of my community to reach me,” Wesson said. “My hope is that it will help keep Angelenos informed about the issues as well as the opportunities present in Council District 10.”
The new website can be accessed at www.herbwesson.com. Follow Wesson on Twitter and Instagram @HerbJWesson for more updates. Search #CD10 for what’s trending in the community.
